Crowded Table Orchard is humbly nestled at the base of Leelanau Peninsula, overlooking Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The 50+ acres invite you to escape the city, breathe in the fresh air, and begin to relax. Pick organic apples. Hike in the woods. Unwind on Lake Michigan's sandy beaches. Bird watch. Plein air paint. Stargaze. You'll be amazed at the magic.

TAKE A LOOK
inside our space
the place
Crowded Table Orchard is located along Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The area, now known as one of the prettiest spots in the world (thank you National Geographic!), includes miles of sand beaches, wooded trails, and hidden inland lakes. To visit our space, you have no choice but to drive around beautiful lakes, past cherry orchards, and up a dirt driveway lined by 50 year old apple trees. It is a bit out of a fairy tale.
At CTO, we believe in our power tools: deep breaths, family, love, nature, laughter, gardening, butterflies, empathy, acceptance, art, creating, music, painting, running, finding stillness, trees, reading, writing, and a crowded table.
We believe gathering and connection is an art form.
We believe in going with the flow.
The farm
We are an organic, family run orchard. With 200+ trees that are older than we can imagine.
We are currently bringing life back into the orchards. Anyone staying here is invited to jump right in with whatever is going on whether it be pruning trees, tending to the vineyards, picking apples/grapes, tapping trees, stirring syrup, playing soccer or guitar, burning brush or just strolling our loved land (over 50 acres!).
Currently living in the city? Come give our orchards a stroll and breathe it in. We welcome your company.
the experience
We welcome you to join us for a wide range of experiences -- both formal and informal.
Your options abound, it just depends on the season. Sit still. Gaze around. Help pick apples. Look for morels. Hike the woods. Slow down on our yoga platform. Enjoy the spring wildflowers. Come to a retreat. Explore the nearby rivers and lakes by kayak or canoe. Take a nap. Watch the maple sugar boil down. Sip wine or craft beer at one of the many local wineries/breweries. Read a book. Paint. Sing songs around a campfire. Explore northern Michigan’s many small towns. Relax watching a sunset. And then do it all again.
It is an inclusive space for all. We welcome artists and writers and creative folks to come and quietly let the creative juices flow.
